Low power E5v3 Xeon Build
13 May 2015Time to shuffle hardware around again.
This time, I picked up a low TDP chip:
- Supermicro X10SRH-CLN4F-O
- SUPERMICRO SNK-P0048PS 2U Passive CPU Heatsink for LGA2011
- Intel Xeon E5-2608Lv3 CM8064402033500S
- 6x Micron 16GB (1x16GB) 2RX4 PC4-2133P-RB0-10 MEMORY MTA36ASF2G72PZ-2G1A2KK
I also swapped in existing hardware:
- 3ware 9750 4i4e
- Hooked up a spare Rackable SE3016 to the onboard SAS HBAs to play with ZFS
- Dropped in Intel X710-DA2 PCIe 3.0 x8 for 10Gbps connectivity
